Pre Test Driving LessonsĀ
Pre Test Lessons are lessons taken to prepare you for the actual Driving Test. They are not to be confused with Mock Driving Test.
The normal format of a Pre Test lesson starts with a drive around the Driving Test area . We generally like to see how you normally drive to assess where your level of driving is compared to the level that a Driving Examiner is expecting . We offer feedback on your driving in real time and offer advice as to how to do things in a different way.
We use diaghrams and written notes that you can keep to help you progress your driving while we are not there. Generally we try to make a Pre Test lesson have a start, middle and end. That way we can see the improvements and discuss progress during the lesson.
Mock Driving TestsĀ
These differ from an actual Pre Test lesson. A Mock Test is a exam like test of your driving skill. These are best undertaken when the general standard of your driving has been inproved to a level that is very close to test standard. These follow the general protocol of an actual Driving Test . There is no feedback or general conversation during the drive and you are marked for your faults. After about 40 minutes you are shown your result.
If you do the Mock Driving Test too early then you are likely to have a cery poor result and may feel dis-heartend. This would not be an approach that would benefit you in preparing for your Driving Test.
Some companies demand you do a Mock Driving Test as soon as you get a Driving Test date. This is designed to make you feel that you need a lot of lessons and they try to upsell.
